Meet the team

1 Website Designer is a team of over 20 creatives, including Project Managers, Web Developers, Graphic Designers, Programmers, English and French SEO experts, Translators and Content Writers.

You can read an introduction to each team member by clicking any photo on this page.  For any given project, you will have a Project Manager who will be your main contact point throughout the project and who will co-ordinate the team to ensure you receive a high quality of service from the team.  We pride ourselves on creating attractive and professional websites with all the functionality required that appear high in search engines.  1 Website Designer is the web design arm of Indigoextra Ltd.

Martin Woods

Martin Woods has a high level overview of all the projects carried out by the 1 Website Designer team at Indigoextra Ltd; he has a thorough understanding of the needs of businesses and 12 years experience as a web designer and SEO consultant.

Martin's role is to ensure that every web design fulfills your business's or organisation's objectives in terms of its design, functionality and SEO (appearing high with search engines), whether this is through a hands-on role or by co-ordinating the 1 Website Designer team.

Before moving into web design, Martin worked as an IT and business trainer for PA Consulting, London and as a Project Manager for Sainsbury's Centre for Mental Health, London.  He is also a wordsmith and wrote the crosswords for The Big Issue in the UK for over 10 years and together with Allison co-created The Da Vinci Game.

Allison Carmichael

Allison Carmichael is the co-founder of 1 Website Designer and the Art Director.  She ensures that the graphic design of each site is professional and attractive.  She has a very hands-on role and is a graphic designer herself, creating logos, illustrations, cartoons and more for websites to ensure that all sites have an original look and feel. She takes your ideas and concepts and makes them real.

With 25 Years experience in the Arts, Allison brings Fine Arts skill and panache to the field of Graphic Design, she coined the phrase 'Design Optimisation' to describe the power of the visuals in website design.

Illustrations by Allison are featured in two books, Martin Dawber's Big Book of Contemporary Illustration and, the totally hilarious self help book, And Anyway About Me by Tara Shillng. Allison has provided illustrations for magazines and websites and is the graphic designer responsible for the artwork on the board games The Da Vinci Game,Liar Liar and Eurobabble.

Art Director

Chris Harker

Chris Harker is our Project Manager based out of South Eastern USA. Chris comes to us after several years in government technology consulting, where he specialized in large-scale enterprise wide web based systems to support police, fire, and other emergency management personnel.

Chris has over 25 years experience in a wide array of different industries including, tourism, hotel & restaurant management, catering, marketing, government, e-learning, software engineering, manufacturing, real estate, business consulting, and non-profit organisations.

Chris received his Master Chef Certification is Washington, D.C., his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science in Georgia, and his Masters of Science in Management Information Systems in North Carolina.

Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and family, cooking, biking, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful sunsets of South USA.

Project Manager

Bobby O'Brien

Bobby has 12 years’ experience project managing web development and software engineering projects and before joining Indigoextra Ltd gained extensive experience with UBS bank, Globoforce, AOL and Nortel.

Bobby has a Post Graduate Degree in Engineering and as a Web and Software Project Manager he co-ordinates the development team to ensure that Indigoextra's websites meets or exceeds our clients' objectives and that projects are completed on time and to a high standard of quality.  He has experience in banking web development, security, SEO, Java and Drupal.

Bobby is fluent English and French speaking and works from South France.

Agnes Potier

Agnes Hababou Potier is a native French translator who translates English to French and French to English. Her translations preserve an author's ideas while maintaining the "beauty" of the text itself.

Agnes achieves this by creating a translation that is as close as possible to the original text, but has the necessary changes to adapt the text to a different culture.

Agnes also writes French SEO articles and French SEO content, to ensure pages appear high with search engines like google.fr, while reading well to your site's visitors.

Boycho Dobrev

Boycho Dobrev is a PHP website programmer with 8 years programming experience in PHP, MySQL, Javascript and the LAMP environment. He creates dynamic and powerful web applications and websites.

His focus is on creating user-friendly interfaces that convert data into well-presented, search engine optimised content.

Boycho is proficient in PDF creation and image processing.

Website Programmer

Darko Kantic

Darko has 17 years’ experience working in the IT industry. While working for Oracle from 1996 – 2001, he developed sites using one of the first Content Management Systems, the Oracle Portal.

He has worked as a Drupal programmer for over 5 years and before joining Indigoextra in 2011, created sites for prestigious clients such as NYSE Euronext, The Open University and France24.

Darko is familiar with a wide range of computer languages including Drupal 4-7, html, CSS, LAMP (Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL), GIT, SVN and Drush.

Darko has an MSc in Computer Science from Manchester University and Project Management experience.

Drupal Programmer

Julia Kantic

Julia started working in IT in 1996, creating applications used by local government to administer housing benefits.  Since then she has developed computer tutorials in html and Flash for Manchester University and from 2006 has worked as a Drupal developer, with experience in Drupal 5, 6 and 7.

Julia speaks fluent English and good French and is proficient at creating multilingual websites.  She is also a creative communicator and brings her creative skills to both website development and website content.

Drupal Web Developer

Liviu Dragulin

Liviu Dragulin is a Drupal web designer and theme developer, creating attractive website themes (the 'look and feel' of a website) in Photoshop and then converting these into Drupal themes.

Liviu has strong html, CSS and graphic design skills and works with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.  He can also create themes for other websites, such as html sites, Wordpress and Joomla.  He takes pride in his work and pays great attention to the little details that have a large impact on the overall beauty and effectiveness of the finished design.

Karim Boudjema

Karim Boudjema is a results-focused fluent English and French Drupal Web Developer and Drupal Themer with over 15 years experience in creating excellence through web development, content management and administration of corporate internet and intranet sites.

Karim is also a proficient Project Manager with proven success in leading projects from concept through to delivery on time and within budget.

He is a business savvy technical expert with broad strengths in strategic and operational marketing, online marketing and relationship management.

Regina Shafir-Brodsky

Regina Shafir-Brodsky is a talented Flash Animator, Graphic Designer and Digital Artist with 14 years experience in graphic design and over 6 years experience in computer game development and design.

Regina has an advanced level in using various 2D computer animation and video editing tools, a strong classical arts foundation, solid knowledge of computer design and user interface design. She thrives on the challenge of learning new skills and implementing new ideas.

Before moving into graphic design and from there into Flash Animation and interactive design, Regina gained an MA in Theater Design.

Chat Robinson

Chat joined 1 Website Designer as a creative graphic designer after extensive experience in marketing, communication, print design and publishing.

As a Partner in Creative Business Communications, a design and publishing company, he created visual marketing campaigns for clients like Pepsico Foods International, Rolls Royce Motors and Alton Towers, UK

Chat has an MA in Fine Art from Staffordshire University and was the Course Co-ordinator and Lecturer in Fine Art, Graphic Design and History of Art at Leek College, UK from 1985 - 2007.

Danielle Brown-Davis

Danielle is a creative SEO content writer, writing articles and content for websites, blogs and SEO submissions.

She writes original, interesting content that grabs the reader's attention and can provide content for either educational or promotional purposes.

Samuel Muriithi

Samuel Muriithi has been writing articles, blogs and website content for the past 3 years. He creates rich and engaging content by combining pertinent research results with fine writing skills. He is well skilled in the use of keywords for SEO.

Samuel is also available as a versatile copywriter,  to write business plans and other content for offline promotional material.

SEO Content Writer

Annie Bowyer

Annie Bowyer previously worked in Oceanography, having gained an MSc. in Marine Physics.  She has a thorough grasp of English and specialises in writing educational articles.  She also writes Cryptic Crosswords, including one for the Big Issue in the UK.

Annie ensures that content is interesting and informative, while at the same time writing content with good SEO.  She speaks French fluently, so can discuss English SEO projects directly with French SEO clients.

SEO Content Writer

Jane Heron

Jane Heron works in Project & Business Development for the 1 Website Designer team.  She has a degree in French and Drama and speaks fluent French and English.  She is also a trained teacher and has worked in educational theatre.  With her experience of teaching and also management in the retail sector, she ensures a seamless liaison between the English and French teams for bilingual projects for 1 Website Designer.

As well as working in Development, Jane also offers Drupal training for end-users, helping clients learn how to use all the features available in their Drupal content management system.

Business Development

Silviu Runceanu

Silviu is a talented and dedicated web designer and print designer based in London, UK.  He is an inspired creative who creates website themes and images with a powerful 'wow' factor.

Originally a Hydroenergetic Engineer, he retrained as a graphic and web designer 6 years ago and is a versatile and gifted visual creative with a talent for comprehending projects and making them real. Flexible, organised and highly motivated, he makes sense of even the most complex projects, coming up with original and imaginative solutions.

Silviu has completed projects for clients across the EU, including the UK, France, Romania and Switzerland. He has completed projects for small business start-ups and industry giants, including Coca Cola, Danone and O2 amongst others.

Graphic Designer

Stephen Banks

Stephen Banks is a graphic design graduate from the University of Wales, Newport. He has amassed a plethora of experience in the short time since finishing his degree and has completed a large range of print and web solutions, both inside university and out.

Stephen has three years experience as a website designer and graphic designer, mainly completing web projects for local companies, individuals and friends. He is experienced in Adobe Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Lightroom and enjoys digital and film photography in his spare time.

Stephen is also experienced in promotion via blogging and social networking sites, having set himself and others up with accounts to generate interest in a range of different businesses and socities.

Petra Sips

Petra Sips is a Dutch Graphic Designer and Digital Artist with15 years experience. She studied Visual Design at the Art Academy of Rotterdam  specializing in photography.  As a graphic designer and Drupal developer, Petra works in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Drupal and Flash. She has worked previously as a Digital Designer in the areas of digital Publishing and E-learning development designing user interfaces, illustrations and Flash animations.

Petra has been active in the communication industry since the birth of the internet.

Petra speaks Dutch, Spanish, English and French.
