I am a native French translator, specialized in History, Literature and Artistic documents. By Artistic, I mean poems, songs, or any text requiring an "adaptation" rather than a translation.

As a matter of fact, it is very important in such type of texts to preserve an author's ideas, as well as keep the "beauty" of the text itself. For this, it is necessary to come up with a translation which is as close as possible to the original text, but make the necessary changes to adapt the text to a different culture. Therefore, it takes more than an online translator or translation software to get a good translation.

However, it is absolutely necessary to get a translation that is as accurate as possible for a website, commercial documents, articles... I am of course skilled to provide such services as well.

Translation Prices

If you are looking for a high quality, fast and affordable translation, please send me your project and I will be glad to forward a price estimation, depending on the total number of words, as well as the type of document.

For standard English to French or French to English translations I charge between €0.10 and €0.13 per word and accept payment via Paypal. I ask for a 50% deposit for any project over 300 Euros.

For website translations I charge €0.10 to €0.13 per word plus 12 Euros per page. The extra amount is to translate the metatags on a page (title, keywords and description) and any ALT tags which describe images to search engines. We will also ensure all the html code works and translate page addresses and ensure that the French version of the site is linked to the English version in whichever way you'd like. This is essential for the site to function smoothly and for search engine optimisation.

If you have navigation buttons that include images of words or banners that include words, 1 Website Designer can also recreate the images with French words built into them. The charge for this will depend upon the number of images to be modified and their complexity.
